Bark Revisited/Around the Block

Since moving to the Bay area, trees have been a central theme in my work and the many patterns of bark have been a particular inspiration. I am drawn to this more intimate inspection through daily walks with my dog. Suddenly it occurred to me to try to drypoint maps of these walks to print on top of the bark reduction woodcuts. This stochastic imagery has become an intriguing new direction for me.
