I attended a lecture by Suzanne Simard titled: Finding the Mother Tree: Discovering the Wisdom of the Forest last year and have been mesmerized by the intricate connections trees in our forests form. The sharing of nutrients, water and information is hinted at in my mixed media work. A morse code SOS and tentacles reaching for other trees are the treads that connect.
